New for 2022 - 4th Sunday ‘Church Together’ Service at 10:30am

On 23 January, 27 February and 27 March, which are the fourth Sundays, instead of the 9:30am service there will be a new service called Church Together at 10:30am. The aim of this service is to encourage everyone (young, old and all in-between) to take part, to learn in a way that suits them and to learn from each other. It is hoped that this service will be very accessible to everyone, it is set up as part of being an inter-generational church.

Before the service, from 10:10am, there will be refreshments served in church. The service will start with a period of worship including songs, bible reading and an introduction to the theme. Then, people will choose from one of the following zones:
  •  Journaling/Colouring: An area at the back of church where adults and children can reflect on the theme using art to create pictures.
  •  Craft/Busy: An area for everyone to make something related to the theme. This will also be at the back of church.
  •  Quiet/Word: An area for people to sit, spend time with God in quiet and listen to what He has to say about the theme. There will be copies of the passage in different versions of the bible as well as questions to consider. This will be in the north aisle.
  •  Chat: An area to discuss with others the questions and topics that the themes raise. There are no ‘right’ answers and you don’t need to be an expert.

After spending some time in the different zones, we all come back together, to see and hear what has been going on in the zones. The service will close with another worship period containing prayers and song.

The PCC has approved this for a three month trial, after which it will be evaluated. We hope everyone will try at least one service.
