History - Overview

Since 1220, Christians have been gathering on this site to worship God.   Originally it was a small chapel belonging to the parish of Sonning, some 20 miles away.  However, as Sandhurst grew, it eventually became its own parish and then in 1853 the first phase of the present church was built.
