Safeguarding and Child Protection

At St Michaels we take very seriously our responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of the children and young people entrusted to our care. Our policy document as at the foot of this page is based on principles specified by the Diocese of Oxford, and in particular it requires all those working with children and young people to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Our Child Protection Officer is Paul Carpenter. The holder of that office is chosen as someone independent in that they are not directly involved with any of the groups caring for children or vulnerable adults.

The document was updated and approved by the PCC in February 2018, with persons named updated March 2018
