Christmas at St Michael's
2020

Picture

The following services have been planned for the Christmas period, but arrangements may need to be changed dependent on what restrictions are in place at the time
In these special circumstances attendance in church for the Carol Services, the Christingle Service, and the Nativity Service will be by ticket, for which there will be a ballot. See bottom of page
Live Streamed services may be accessed live or after the event via our Facebook Page

Advent Celebration

Advent celebration Sunday 29th November at 6.30pm. This service will be live-streamed only.

Carol services

The Carol Service will take place twice, on Sunday 20 December as well as Christmas Eve, in each case at 7:00pm with a handbell concert from the St Michael’s Belles from 6:15pm. The Christmas Eve version will be live-streamed.

People will be able to attend one Carol service only by ballot.

Christingle and Nativity Services

The Christingle Service will be on Sunday 13 December at 4:15pm, and will be live-streamed. Those attending will receive a Christingle-making kit, instead of a ready-made Christingle, and these will be available in advance to those who are unsuccessful in applying for a ticket.

The Nativity Service will take place on Christmas Eve at 3:00pm. Children who wish to dress up in costume will need to provide their own costume and arrive in it. The format will be different to avoid contact between people of different families/bubbles. The service will be live-streamed, but children will not be shown on camera, except for those whose parents have agreed in advance for them to take part in the service.

People will be able to attend either the Christingle or the Nativity service (not both) by ballot

Christmas Eve Midnight Mass
Midnight Mass begins at 11.30pm in church and live streamed

Christmas Day services
Holy Communion at 8.00am in church
All Age Communion at 9.30am in church and live streamed
