Young People

For our policy on Safeguarding and Child Protection see the Safeguarding Page
St Michael’s welcomes young people of Year 6 and above to attend socials, discussion groups and events to discover new friends and faith. Through these activities the young people are encouraged to actively participate in church life, including  Sunday services, particularly the 9:30 am Parish Communion, the Family Service and Church Together.  For more information on these, please see the Services Overview page.

Youth Activities

REACH is a group for young people year 6+ that meets during the 9:30am service every Sunday except the fourth Sunday of the month, when young people join in the 10.30 am All-Age Church Together service in St Michael's Pastoral Centre.  For more information, please email Sarah Bishop, our Familyworker.
Young people also take part in our church choir and "Blossoming Bells", a group for young people learning to play handbells, and are also invited to try their hand at ringing the tower bells. Please see our Music page for more information on all of these activities.

Other Events for young people

Other events are run from time to time. For some of these parental permission is required; please use the form below.
