Welcome to the Website of St Michael and All Angels Church, Sandhurst, Berkshire
Welcome by Rev John Castle, Rector
St Michael’s is a community of people who worship God together, and who want to know God better and serve him better in our daily lives. We love to welcome people, whether you're looking for a church to worship in, would like to explore the Christian faith or are interested in getting married or having a child christened, or have recently lost a loved one.
Whoever you are, we hope you'll find what you are looking for on this site, so we can help you practically, spiritually or however we can! Feel free to e-mail or phone us - see our Contact page.

The Spire Project
Our beautiful church building needs repair - the wooden tiles (shingles) on the spire, the peal of six bells and the clock all need attention, the total cost of which is around £250,000. For more information, and how you can donate to this appeal, please visit our WinSpire 2024 page. Stewardship campaign 2024
When we recognise all the blessings that God has given us, what should be our attitude towards the things we own, the talents, skills, money and time we have? What part do you play in your church? Please read the leaflet below, and consider your response to God. Although Stewardship Sunday has now passed, offers as in the leaflet are still very welcome.
Visiting the ChurchThe church is usually open for visiting and private prayer on weekdays and weekends (except during Sunday morning services), and you are welcome to light a candle as an act of prayer. This depends upon the availability of volunteers to open and lock it, but you can also phone or e-mail the office to arrange for the church to be open when you want to visit. (See contact page.)

Burn Bright, Like a Firework!
The following article by Sarah Ashton appears on the front page of the November 2024 Newsletter
As the days shorten, the nights draw in and the clocks go back we turn our thoughts to winter, cold and dark. Then ‘Remember, Remember the 5th of November’, comes to mind and is a prompt for huge outdoor firework parties.
Today, few people think of the history behind the bonfire but we can’t fail to miss the fireworks that are let off regularly through early November. In the event a travesty was avoided and today the fireworks are bright and cheerful, bringing joyous exclamations from the spellbound onlookers. The variety of colour and shape that fills the sky at an organised display is spellbinding, but it is short lived.
We are approaching the end of our Christian year and need to be sure that our faith is not settling down for a long winter’s nap but is burning bright like a firework. However, we do not want it to be short-lived and fizzle out; we need to keep our batteries charged and our faith glowing, or even better, sparkling for all to see.
How can we do this? By taking part in the many services, house groups and other activities offered by St Michael’s and enjoying the fellowship of other Christians.
