Holy Week and Easter at St Michael's 2020
This year, we will be joining with each other electronically, using orders of service you can download and live-streamed services. This page will be updated as services are finalised, so please come back and check on it from time to time!
The Diocese of Oxford are also live-streaming services this Holy Week, starting with a Eucharist on Palm Sunday at 10 am. A complete list of live-streamed Holy Week services put on by the Diocese can be found here. There are more resources from the Church of England website. For those who prefer to watch a service on the television, BBC1 has a programme called Sunday Worship every Sunday morning. For details go to the webpage Sunday Worship or use your usual way of checking TV programmes!

You can also continue to watch it after the event. The Order of Service, and material for running a Kidz Church session, can be downloaded below.
11.15 am Family Service, live-streamed on Zoom – go to this website and join meeting 172 324 765. If prompted for a password, type 371121. You shouldn't need to join Zoom to take part.

Good Friday
11.15 am Family Service on Zoom. Just click here to take part in the service - that should be all you need. If you enter the meeting via the Zoom app on your device and want to use the meeting ID it is 172 324 765 and the Password is 371121. To take part in activities during the service, get hold of a bread roll or slice of bread and a glass of non-alcoholic red drink to represent wine. You can also join in the songs using musical instruments (shakers etc) if you have them. This brand new audio resource is a re-telling of the Holy Week story in 12 installments, each around 7 minutes long, by New Testament scholar Rev Dr Peter Walker, who has led many tours to the Holy Land. Peter uses insights from archeology and biblical research, to bring the story of Jesus' journey from Palm Sunday to Easter Day alive in its historical context. St Michael's has a paid-for a licence to enable us to use this resource at no cost. Just click here to access the site.
